Description:
The ABC’s Conservation Programme supports small to medium sized conservation projects in Africa. Since 1996, it has supported a wide variety of projects including training courses, research into threatened species and promotion and awareness of conservation issues in Africa. Up to £3000 per proposal may be awarded. Applications will be reviewed in June.

Many different types of projects can be considered for support so long as there is a clear conservation objective, including:
- surveys and monitoring of birds and their habitats
- education projects or training courses
- production of guides to the birds of an area in local languages
- support for local bird clubs
- raising awareness of conservation issues
