Summary: 

The Google Scholarship opportunity meets AISES’ mission-driven objective to support Indigenous students in becoming qualified, STEM professionals through academic scholarship and wrap around support services. With the resources provided by Google, combined with AISES’ 46 years of experience administering scholarships and offering support programs to Indigenous students, AISES believes the recipients will excel in their programs and provide meaningful contributions in the STEM workforce

Eligible Degrees

Must be pursuing a degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics program at an accredited academic institution. 

Student Status

Must be a full-time undergraduate student (or high school senior headed to higher education) at an accredited college/university or graduate student.

Grade Point Average

Must have a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher cumulative GPA.

Tribal Citizenship

Applicants must be: an enrolled citizen or a descendant of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or descendant from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or descendant from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada. Enrollment documents and/or a copy of birth certificate(s) showing descendancy from an enrolled citizen, Indigenous group of Canada, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander are acceptable. Applicant may also, instead, provide a copy of their Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood or Certificate of Degree of Alaska Native Blood (CDIB) card. Please note, AISES may not always have scholarships available for non-citizens of the United States.
