Environment at YSE
The Andrew Sabin International Environmental Fellowship, created in 2011 at the School of the Environment (YSE), provides scholarship support for YSE students from developing countries, and provides additional post-graduate awards to those students returning to their home countries to pursue environmental careers.
The Sabin Fellowship provides a maximum of $40,000 in support for qualifying Master’s students: up to $20,000 in support for tuition for the second year of Master’s study, depending on the student’s current financial package at YSE, and $20,000 in post-graduation awards for those pursuing environmental careers in their home country. Sabin Fellows will be eligible for the $20,000 post-graduate award provided they have secured employment in their home country and have completed 12 months of work within 18 months of their graduation date. The Fellow must work for a governmental organization, non-governmental organization, or private firm engaged in conservation and development work. The 2024 cohort will need to complete the 12 months of work by November 2026.
The Andrew Sabin International Environmental Fellowship is administered by the Office of Development and Alumni Services at the Yale School of the Environment. For more information, please contact Lisa Bassani (lisa.bassani@yale.edu).
