Dreyfus Fellowships are for Yale graduate and undergraduate students who are children and grandchildren of U.S. Foreign Service Officers. Awards to Yale students, based on merit, will be made by the DACOR Bacon House Foundation in consultation with Yale University. Fellowships are provided by an endowment created from a bequest of the late Ambassador Louis G. Dreyfus, Jr. that is administered directly by the Diplomatic and Consular Officers Retired (DACOR) - Bacon House Foundation. The MacMillan Center serves as an on-campus liaison.
Grants under this program total $40,000 annually. Applicants for support at The Hotchkiss School should apply directly to the Hotchkiss Director of Financial Aid; only one student is selected. Applications for grants for study at Yale must be submitted directly to DACOR by May 1. All eligible applicants receive an award; the amount is dependent upon how many eligible applicants there are.
