- The JRTF aims to provide relatively small levels of funding for ongoing projects or pilot programs with a clear conservation value.
- Open to individuals or organisations for projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Priority will be given to projects related to the conservation of forest elephants. Applicants can be based anywhere in the world.
- Education projects will also be considered.
- Travel costs for presentation of the project at a conference, or participation to workshop/training program will also be considered.
- Purchase of field equipment if they are essential in completing field work.
