The Luce Foundation: Luce Scholars Program

1-year professional placement and immersion in an Asian country.

Application Deadline Date:
Wednesday, October 16, 2024
Academic Area:

Any

Description:

The Luce Scholars Program is aimed at a group of highly qualified young Americans in a variety of professional fields, who are nominated by institutions. It is unique among American-Asian exchanges in that it is intended for young leaders who have had no prior experience of Asia and who might not otherwise have an opportunity in the normal course of their careers to come to know Asia or their Asian counterparts. Luce Scholars gain new perspectives and cultural insights on their host countries through immersive living and working experiences in Asia. A professional placement is individually arranged for each Scholar on the basis of his or her professional interest, background, and qualifications. Airfare + cost-of-living + normal expenses.
