The AMNH Grants Program offers modest short-term awards to advanced students, postdoctoral trainees, and scientific researchers who are commencing their careers in the fields covered by AMNH. Grants are available from AMNH funds, each having specific missions.

These awards are intended principally to assist early career scientists – advanced pre- doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers – although there are no formal educational restrictions to apply. Awards cover support for field work, including transportation, subsistence in the field or at a research station, and expendable supplies.
