- Enrolled in the masters or doctorate program to further their undergraduate degree at a recognized accredited college in Colorado
- Graduated from an accredited undergraduate program with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Have successfully completed at least one course in Botany or Horticulture, and two courses in the fields of Soil Science, Turf Culture, Floriculture, Greenhouse Management, Arboriculture, or other plant sciences
