Description:

The Yale Club of New Haven annually awards scholarships to full-time matriculated graduate and professional school students in the spring of their first and/or subsequent years. The by-laws of the club stipulate that the scholarships be awarded to
residents of the Greater New Haven County area. This area includes the shoreline towns from Milford to Clinton, circumscribed by Shelton, Ansonia, Derby, Wallingford, Cheshire, Middletown, Haddam, Killingworth and the towns contained therein. Residency for these scholarships is determined primarily by where the applicant attended secondary school. A list of the qualifying secondary schools is enclosed for your information. (N.B. The location of the undergraduate institution attended, or the current residence is not considered in determining the awards.)
The scholarships are formally awarded in May; the award is paid in half installments to the
student’s Bursar account to reduce the student’s expenses in the Fall and Spring semesters. It is
expected that the scholarship recipient, upon annual reapplication, will continue to receive
the scholarship until completion of the degree program, providing they remain full-time
students in good standing.

The deadline for filing an application is April 8, 2024.
