Members of the Yale School of the Environment (YSE) community have easy access to a curated list of global, external funding opportunities for graduate students and postdocs using this new database.  The service is maintained by a collaboration among the School’s Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid, Career and Professional Development (CPD), and Research.

The database contains detailed information on research grants, internship stipends, travel funds, tuition scholarships, and other awards of interest to members of the School’s community.  Opportunities and deadlines are updated frequently - please check back regularly.  We do our best to keep the content of the database current, but if you see an opportunity that appeals to you and whose deadline has passed, click the associated link to see if a new competition has been announced.

GRIST/ Imagine 2200: Climate Fiction for Future Ancestors

Grist invites writers aged 18 and above from around the globe to submit original, unpublished short stories ranging from 2,500 to 5,000 words for the Imagine 2200: Climate Fiction for Future Ancestors contest.

The competition, which is free to enter, closes on June 24, 2024. The contest seeks to envision positive future scenarios addressing the climate crisis, offering a $3,000 prize to the winner, with additional prizes for runners-up. All winning stories will be published by Grist. Apply today!

Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF)

KASF scholarships (which range from $500 to $5,000) are offered to the qualified Korean American students (including foreign students from Korea). All applicants must be enrolled in a full time program in the U.S during the scholarship application year. If extra funds are available, other students (non Koreans) may qualify for scholarships. Specifically, descendants of American veterans served during the Korean War may qualify for scholarships (applicable to selective regions).
